What happened yesterday?

As I walked into Mr. Harris' class, I just sat down anywhere. Scott was too busy with Allison, and Lydia was too busy with Jackson. I seriously need to get some new friends. Then Mr.Harris started talking. Man, do I hate his voice. He's just so annoying, and I always end up hearing "Stilinski, Detention!" at sometime during the day. Harris said to pair up, but there was nobody at my table, so I guess I'll be alone.

Lauren was sitting in the back of the chemistry class, alone, and saw Stiles walk in and sit by himself too. When the teacher said we should pair up, I got up and went to his table.

"Hey..." I said shyly. I sat down next to him. After yesterday, I'm so confused on what's going on. I needed to talk to him.

"Oh, uh hi Lauren." I said, mixing a bunch of ingredients together, hoping that an explosion didn't happen.

"What exactly did you see yesterday?" I said, nervously.

Lauren helped pour a small amount of another ingredient.

"Well, I saw this blue snake-like thing attack me. Then I saw a guy who looked like a wolf and this other guy was there too." she paused. "and you knew exactly what to do, so I'm figuring that was normal for you." she turned to him and said in a hushed voice. "what the hell happened yesterday in the woods? I was going for a lovely walk, saw you and a guy, went to go say hello and got attacked. Please explain?!" she begged. She wanted to understand what had went down.

"Remember all the myths about werewolves? Well, they aren't myths." I said, trying to make it as simple as possible.

"what?!" she said in a louder voice, which caused the teacher to shush her. She lowered her voice again.
"so does that mean you're one? A...werewolf?" she asked

"I'm not. My best friend is. Scott McCall. He has been for a while, and I know a lot about it because of him. Jason Parks is one too. I had to help him, he recently became one. The lizard-like thing that attacked you was a Kanima. I don't know who the Kanima is.

"whoa." she said, sinking in everything. Werewolves were real?!? While soaking the information in, she accidentally poured too many of a certain chemical in, and their experiment starte foaming and going over the sides of the beaker.

"I know, it's hard to believe." I said, then getting some napkins and cleaning up the chemicals.

"Nobody else can know about this." I said, in a serious face.

"This is kind of a big thing Stiles." I stated and looked at him. His face was filled with seriously. I nodded and said, "fine, I promise to keep it a secret." she meant what she said.

"Will Scott be mad that I know?" she asked him.

"When he knows why you know, no." I said, calmly.

"okay," she nodded. This was still so crazy.

"do you wish that you were one?" she asked, curious.

I sighed at the question.

"At times, yes. But I'm glad I'm normal." I said, feeling a bit down. I know I can't do the things Scott or Isaac can do it, and it upsets me.

She smiled, satisfied. She helped out with the experiment some more.

"do you think we could maybe hang out some time after school?" she asked, nervous about asking for some odd reason.

I looked at Scott for a brief moment, then I looked at Lauren.

"Yeah, definitely." I said, giving her my phone number.

"cool," she smiled and entered his number into her phone. "thanks for trusting me with this huge secret even though you barely know me..."

"You seem trustworthy, and you witnessed something very bad." I said, calmly.

"Today, after school, we hang out, right?" I said, wondering if she actually was gonna go with it

She smiled at his complement.

"yeah!" she paused and said more calmly, "yeah, sure, that'd be cool." she mentally scolded herself. She had no idea why she sounded so excited.

"Okay, good." I said, smiling.

*Bell Rings*

"See you later." I said, leaving the room.
